Moo Tong Medical Manufacturing Pte Ltd is a consumer healthcare manufacturing company based in Singapore. We have created two brands , Moo Tong and Herber range of products to cater to the different consumers’ needs.

With nearly 60 years of heritage in Singapore, the Moo Tong brand of  liniment and embrocation have grown to become a household name and a national icon in  Singapore. Being made in Singapore ,Moo Tong liniment and embrocation oil offer quick relief for those with aches and pain .
The liniment oil has been used by many families through the generations . A trusted brand in Singapore.

Moo Tong liniment and embrocation oil are also preferred choices for tourists. They can bring back to their home countries, as gifts and souvenirs for their friends and relatives.
Establishment of Moo Tong Medical Manufacturing Pte. Ltd.
As one of the pioneer to the industry, Moo Tong Medical Manufacturing Pte. Ltd. had its humble beginning in 8th January 1966.

The founder, Mr. Lim Soon, was  well renowned for his skills and expertise as a Chinese Physician. Using his extensive knowledge in traditional Chinese medicine, Mr. Lim Soon managed to let his skillsoared to greater heights through the successful treatments of countless patients in Asia.

The company first started as Seng Ann Glass Factory at Minto Road. In 1946, Mr Lim Soon inherited the glass factory from the owner , whom Mr Lim Soon had saved during the Japanese war. Seng Ann Glass Factory supplied glass bottles to the different medicated oil manufacturers in Singapore. Over time, due to extra capacity, Mr Lim Soon realised that there was a potential market for medicated oil and soon created the Moo Tong brand of Liniment and Embrocation Oil himself to sell to consumers. The brand Moo Tong was conceptualised as Mr Lim Soon has travelled to China with his father , Lim Heng Lee in 1932 to Moo Tong Mountain to learn the final skill in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

With this, Seng Ann Manufacturing name changed to Moo Tong Medical Company. Mr Lim Soon is a highly creative person. As time passed by, Mr Lim Soon developed glass making machines to improve the output of the bottles.

Growth of Moo Tong Medical Manufacturing Pte. Ltd.

  1. Moo Tong Medical Company  was at Minto Road for 22 years before it moved to her own factory in Jurong in 1968. The factory  was at  15 LorongTukangSatu, Jurong. In 1978, the factory moved to Playfair Road. In 2018, due to bigger space requirement as the business expands, the factory moved to 30, Kallang Pudding Road.
  2. On 14th July 1981, Mr. Lim Soon passed the baton to his youngest son, Mr. Lim Kheow Wee, to be at the helm of Moo Tong Medical Company . With a combination of entrepreneurship and a focus on a customer service, Mr. Lim Kheow Wee further enhanced the legacy of Moo Tong Medical Company. Mr Lim Kheow Wee has a special linguistic ability as he can speak the  Indian.language. With this, he approached Mustafa and Haniffa to list in the Moo Tong brand of liniment and Embrocation oil.  The rest has become history as the sales at Mustafa and Haniffa grew over time and the Moo Tong brand has become a preferred brand for Mustafa’s and Haniffa’s customers.
  3. Mr Lim KheowWee, started to sell in to medical halls in Singapore and over time, he expanded the production output of Moo Tong liniment and embrocation oil . Gradually the distribution of Moo Tong liniment and embrocation oil become a household name among the medical halls, minimarts.

A New Generation for Moo Tong Medical Manufacturing Pte. Ltd.

  1. On 8th January 2012 proved to be another milestone for Moo Tong Medical Manufacturing Pte. Ltd. as Mr Lim KheowWee transferred the leadership to his youngest son, Mr. Harry Lim. As a new generation leader in this technology savvy world, Mr. Harry Lim strives to enhance the legacy of Moo Tong Medical Company by incorporating business improvements with the latest available technologies.  Moo Tong and Herber range of products are now available in online platforms where consumers can also purchase directly , in addition to buying at the physical stores. Moo Tong Medical Manufacturing name was changed to Moo Tong Medical Manufacturing Pte Ltd in 2018.

Through dedicated research and development , Moo Tong Medical Manufacturing Pte Ltd, now offers an extended range of consumer healthcare products , ranging from Medibalm, Therapeutic Essential oil, – Almond oil, Virgin coconut oil, Castor oil, Jojoba oil, Tea Tree oil etc. Medicated soap and gel, personal care products like Rose toner all ages.
  3. Moo Tong Medical Manufacturing Pte Ltd  has extended and refined its product range to cater to the growing market for natural pain remedies. Its products have gained popular support and are now available throughout Singapore.
